“Social Networks: Virtual Friend or Real Enemy”


            Social network is a network of friends, colleagues, and other personal contacts (Dictionary.com, 2012). Social networking began in 1978 with the Bulletin Board System or BBS which was hosted on personal computers. After that the first version of instant messaging came about in 1988 with Internet Relay Chat (IRC), which allow user to use the link and file sharing, and generally keeping in touch with one another (Webmasterview.com, 2003 - 2012). Now there are many type of social networks that exist including Google plus, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and many others.

1.     Be able to expert in located in any part or area of the globe
So the company can sell and deliver products and services most efficiency by having virtual organization. For instance, online shop nowadays like eBay or Walmart, without any physical store they can offer the products and services easily to customer from  different country, which do not require customer to go to that store directly, plus the company also can deliver it to their house with a shipping service. With this in mind, organization could have a greater business opportunity due to the fact that organization would have geographic coverage, which make customer to get access to the market more widely. Better markets understanding also play a crucial role to virtual organization since it would be able to increase the customer satisfaction with the given products, services, quality and the edge over the competitor.
