Organizational Culture of Toyota, Facebook and Google


I. Toyota Motor Corporation

Toyota with the unique corporation that contain with specifying on problem and measurement with prevention.  With good, smart and creative leader to employee wants and needs so in return employee pay loyalty, honest and perform their best in job which contribute the remarkable pleasant to customer and also to company that is why in southwest Toyota is one of the most wanted company that people wish to work for. Additionally, Toyota Way 2001 has five keywords, which are "Challenge," "Kaizen," "Genchi Genbutsu," "Respect," and "Teamwork," and is shared throughout Toyota globally. Beside of this the most essential Toyota way or its organizational culture consist with two ways which is respect for people and continuous improvement.
1). Respect for people
By this Toyota mean that they need to respect others because respects is important not only to their customer but also the other people especially try to involve more to the society by donate or help other people so people can see the value of this company then they will respect and tell the other like whenever you buy car, always buy Toyota car because it has a good quality plus good responsibility toward to the society so by this, taking responsibility is important because they know their responsibility and they do it. In addition, try to understand them like what do customer need or want philosophy or mindset of people is that consumer usually want a high quality product but with reasonable price so with this in mind this company understand it and try to provide what customer needs. Another thing is that they build mutual trust to every one for example by respecting their stockholder or any other corporation. If they willing to do it, they will do it not to break the promise. What else the sincere communication is their aim to communicate to the other with trust and honest and basically base on what people really feel and believe. Moving on to another point that focus on team work, Toyota usually try to help or encourage people’s growth by providing them training, skill, incentive or many other thing that people lack of. Toyota eventually maximize not only team but also individual performance so company usually track down with what people have perform so far and if there is any mistake or error company usually try to correct and improve it to be better. Finally, this company has strong commitment education and development for this they not only focus on thing inside the company but also the outside one like I mentioned above they usually involve with society work by doing fundraising or donate to any other which could help country to grow faster.
2). Continuous improvement
With this point Toyota come up with a long term vision which take them a deep look in the distance of future with this long range perspective they will take it in to account by focus on many factors because time run fast for instance, they need to think what is our new car will be and if it is not attractive enough their competitor like Honda or Lexus would grab this chance to attack their business. Thus they need to think carefully because even now they are success among the other motor corporation but what if they do nothing over their improvement from year to year to people would choose the other vehicle since it is a substitute good not the monopoly one. They have goal or objective to accomplish and implement in a right way with the motivation from company so they would achieve it but if they fail to achieve it well they could gather again and discuss why that can’t be and seek a new strategy. Well, as you know that doing everything always face challenge and this happen to Toyota so what they do is they try to overcome and find it out the way that they can win over this. Alternatively, this company usually value their product and services as the main thing to focus on because it is what every company need to focus on if they fail to manage this thing out, maybe this company wouldn’t perform successfully. Equally important, according to one of the manger in Toyota said that we also improve our business operation continuously by driving with the innovation and evolution. With this Toyota usually innovate thing which mean they usually update their car from year to year with a new style without copying from any other company. Just like that the company also build the lean system and structure in other word it is production system originally call just in time production which organize the manufacturing and logic of the company moreover it include the interaction between supplier and customer so with this system it give them an advance step to overtake any of their competitor.
For this second point it also divide in to four sub main point which include
1. Safety and health: to ensure employee health and safety because it is the most important thing if people are weak so how can they do their job that’s why people say health is most important thing in this world for human being
2. Human resource development: by greater enhancement and reinforcement of educational program which mean that this company will provide more skill and education to their staff.
3. Diversity and inclusion: Strive to create worthy of mental energy and enthusiasm.
4. Pride and loyalty: help and develop employee pride and loyalty to company by encourage a culture of teamwork through communication and corporation.

II. Facebook

1). Develop mission statement
Facebook eventually have a clear vision and mission statement and the thing is that they want people around the world to have the power to share and connected with people around them by making new friends or keep contact with their old friend. So with this clear vision including many features in Facebook that’s why today there are many and many people are using it. Significantly, with one core value “Move fast and break thing” which can encourage employee dare to take risk and act rapidly even there is a problem because if you risk nothing then you gain nothing. With this in mind it make them special and try to innovate thing from day to day by updating their new feature which make user feel more upgrade from this also since we know people don’t like to use thing again and again.
2). Company Onboarding Is Everyone’s Responsibility
With Facebook, they allow their employee to go through the process onboarding of the company by doing it directly and gain the experience from it. Furthermore with one of their good passionate that make all the employee to from various department to talk or interact with every new employees to make sure that they are fully understand and make the new comer feel warm and feel free to share any idea that pop up in their mind. By doing this it make everyone in company know their task, responsibility not to wait for the other to do it and especially make them feel fair, equitable because everyone have the same right to do thing and express their own idea so this is a good incentive toward to the employee and make them to perform better.
3). Conduct All-Hands Meetings
They host and make it weekly and this enable all people in company to host and honest question and answer which mean that they ask directly to leader or they can interact with each other. This is good because from week to week people can note down situation that happen with company especially the strength and weaknesses of the company since one manager cannot look at it alone so they need to gather their employee to discuss and express of what they think make them feel home to talk because sometimes employee could have better idea employer or manager. Eventually with that small new idea, it can bring up the company to the top.
4). Lead by Example
As we know Zukerberg is recognize as an incredible leader so he usually lead by good commitment to the company and with this good example it make employee to follow and respect him especially do their best in the company by putting more effort to their work. Anyway he still remain as inspiring role model to everyone in the company
5). Encourage social activities
For this point Facebook company not only focus on their job inside but they also encourage their employee to involve with social activities like play sport, do fundraising, donation which are all count as good thing for society. Anyhow, with this we can see that Facebook provides a great amount of freedom to employees, who enjoy open offices, undivided desks and no standard work schedules. This is because Zuckerberg believes that time and space freedom encourages team-work, collaboration and communication and make everyone in company to do a better job and people would do nothing with any incentive and incentive and encouragement is the most valuable thing in this world.
Important principles:
·   Culture really matter and it requires conscious attention. Before the opening a new office, Facebook sends a “landing team” to help with the establishing process. This team acts as a “culture carrier” and the team members stay in the new location for up to a year.
·        The environment is also the culture. Facebook offices around the world are tailored to the country’s culture and to the employee’s culture too. The company allows employees to hang up decoration, paint walls, stimulating a link between them and the organization and work space.

III. Google

Google is one of the kind and generous among the other company and they usually hire smart and high commitment people to work with because this kind of people would be willing to work very hard from the bottom of their heart with their strong commitment because everything need commitment and if you don’t have it how could do thing regularly. Likewise they usually favor ability over experience because ability is hard to build unlike the experience whenever you have time you can do it and can gain experience. For this point we can take a look at some job that require at least two years experiences or something like that so what if any outstanding student that want to apply so they won’t have a chance since they need experience in advance so those company should reconsider about this. Similarly, they share common goal, objective or any idea among each other which allow everyone in this company to have a chance to express their own idea and make it better and the best thing about it is they have weekly meeting and Googlers can ask question directly to Larry and Sergey thus it is the best think unlike the other company which the CEO of the company usually busy and rarely have a meeting with their staff. By the same token Google also offer many benefit to staff, employee, or any worker such as a day care, adoption assistance, domestic partnership and many other so with this kind of thing employee would enjoy to work and with this enjoying it can boost their performance to work better and have the incentive to work hard. On the other hand, this company provide equal opportunities in term of discrimination which include race, color, religion, status, nation, sex, gender, mental physic and many other. The main thing of this company is they diversify their workforce which is a unique pattern that include Asian at google and this one focus on supporting employee retention and career advancement, educate google employees concerning. Secondly, black at google, the mission of it is to attract, recruit, retain and develop black talent at google. Final diversity is women at google to ensure that it is a great place for women to work and sponsors external organization. By doing this it can increase employee sensitivity and awareness of difference people and people won’t fear against each other because this company provide equal right to work. What is more, google usually reward their outstanding employee which make people to work harder and make people that have not achieve it yet to try to achieve by working hard and compete with each other. The unique thing is that Google encourage their staff through fun activities such as roller hockey especially encourage their employee to take care of their mind and their bodies by offering the ability to work out in the gym and get massage inside the company. So you can imagine how cool this company is and that’s why most of the people wish to work in this company. Here is the thing that google happens to be one of the world’s most innovative companies which include thing like
-Focus on user and all else will follow
-Fast is better than slow
-You make money without doing evil
-You can be serious without a suit
-Café station where employees can gather to eat free food and have conversation
-Exercise rooms

Undoubtedly, with this kind of thing Google is recognize as the world most innovative, incentive company and people usually say that life at google is about more than just a work.
