“Euthanasia: A Person’s Right to Die or an Act of Murder?”

Logically, the cycle of human life are born, old, get sick, die and we cannot say for sure when will our life end. Dead is inevitable since we all know that it is the rule of nature. So what is euthanasia?
Euthanasia or mercy killing comes straight out of the Greek "eu", goodly or well + "thanatos", death = the good death (MedicineNet.com, 2012), which is the act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from a terminal illness or an incurable condition, as by lethal injection or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment (The Free Dictionary, 2012). This was first created to kill criminals and enemies silently. Now some countries still allow euthanasia, or mercy killing in hospitals, whether they want to live through the pain and suffering or just die out with euthanasia (Yahoo, 2012).  Some people think that euthanasia is a person’s right to die while the other people argue that it is an act of murder. Thereby, this essay will discuss about the benefit of euthanasia which writer consider as a person’s right to die rather than an act of murder for two main reasons.
Firstly, euthanasia has its first main reason which people usually be aware that it can stop person from suffering. Generally, when people are very sick and stay with a very bad condition meaning that they cannot do anything by themselves, cannot see or hear clearly, they will no longer want to live because it is worse than dead. So dead is a good decision, which can reduce their anxiety and pain. Moreover, it allows people who are terminally ill to request and receive assisted dying (HubePages, 2012). It is his or her choice to choose and no one can force them unless they want. The important reason is that euthanasia is painless and there is no suffering involved in the process. So the person who is given euthanasia will die painlessly and peacefully (Pros-and-Cons.net, 2012). Therefore, euthanasia is important and become necessary for patient since they could die with dignity and end their suffer. For instance, like my grandmother who is very old and have a terrible sickness. She decided to die by asking the doctor to assist suicide by using a kind of medicine that can make people die. Before she did it, she tells us that it is the only choice that can reduce and relief her pain, yet her sickness is very difficult to cure. Her sickness is like a standing still tree, she cannot move and cannot do anything by herself and my relative always helps her. More importantly, she also thinks that she is quite old and happy enough to die because she knows that no one can get rid of it. If she still wants to remain alive, it even makes her to bear with much pressure ahead. Hence, euthanasia is a person right to die because of the main reason above, which people usually take into an account.
Secondly, euthanasia has the second main reason which possibly could end family suffer and reducing family or relative pressure by helping that patient. Once a person gets sick, he or she will need people to stay with in order to help and assist within whatever he or she want especially many kind of works that patient cannot do. But if the patient is in very bad condition, which cannot cure, it also makes the family or relative worry about them. Undoubtedly, euthanasia does not affect the individual only but also the family of the patient. Having to watch a person that you love the most get worse can be very harrowing (The Life Resource Charitable Trust, 2011). With this in mind, life is the most valuable thing in the world, which nothing can compare with. Life is not something that we can buy or sell like product on the market. Likewise, family members or relative are the people who get much suffer because they are much closer to the patients more than any other people who are not involve with (Debate: Society, 2010).  So if the patient decides to use the voluntary euthanasia which they decide to die by his or her own, it would be a right choice because both party family and patient will ending the suffer. Furthermore, it also can reduce pressure of helping that patient. For example, like what I have mentioned above my grandmother decided to die. Her purpose not only to reduce her own pain but also to reduce my family pain because she does not want to see everybody feel sad and worry about her. Plus, she also does not put to much pressure on everyone because of her only. The main reason is that she doesn’t want to see my parents sell their asset in order to get the money to cure her because at that time my family is also in a bad condition. Moreover, it can reduce my parents expense because she know that her sickness cannot be cured even my parents need to spend much money on it. Since euthanasia can generate the a few benefit, which can end families suffer and reduce family or relative pressure by helping that patient therefore it is not an act of murder.
In conclusion, human life is very special which is the collection of every taste including sad, happy, shock, jealous, excited and many others, which we all need to face but the only thing that people cannot avoid or refuse to accept is a death. Every person will need to face it but just not sure when and where. On the other hand, euthanasia has its benefit, which the writer considers as a person’s right to die for two main reasons including the act of stopping person from suffer and ending the suffer of the family pressure by helping that patient. Like a coin that always comes up with two sides that is why the writer still consider euthanasia as a person right to die even if it has some or damage and disadvantages. Life is very important so government should pay more attention to it including doctor and nurse.
